Before implementing advanced Klaviyo flows and segmentation, Synister Speed faced challenges common in giveaway-driven brands: skepticism about sweepstakes' legitimacy, inconsistent repeat purchase behavior, and limited personalization in emails. The existing approach leaned heavily on the giveaway message without enough focus on showcasing product quality and building brand trust.
Our Approach
We onboarded Synister Speed and revamped their email marketing strategy using Klaviyo by implementing:
- Technical Setup: Enviary implemented the integration of Shopify and Klaviyo, including the creation of custom metrics and advanced integrations to enable data-driven decision-making and streamlined automated workflows. Additionally, we set up branded domains, configured DMARC for enhanced security, and established a consistent sending schedule to optimize email deliverability and ensure reliable communication with customers.
- Behavior-Based Automated Flows: We launched advanced flows tailored to real customer behavior, including welcome, abandoned cart, browse abandonment, post-purchase bounce back, replenishment, cross-sell, and winback sequences. Each was built around the core incentive: entries to win the car or $100K cash prize.
- Tiered Discount Strategy: Instead of traditional discounts, we integrated “X Entries” incentives in every sale email (e.g., 2X Entries for welcome, 3X Entries for cart/browse abandonment, 200+ bonus entries for post-purchase). This approach stayed true to the brand and maximized conversion without offer fatigue.
- Advanced Segmentation: We built precise segments in Klaviyo based on customer lifecycle stage, purchase frequency, and engagement level. This allowed campaigns to speak directly to skeptics, first-time buyers, repeat customers, and high-value VIPs.
- Brand-Consistent Design: All emails were designed to match the Synister Speed website theme with bold black/red colors, premium visuals of the giveaway car, and a modern, tongue-in-cheek voice that built trust and excitement without sounding spammy.
- Targeted Campaigns: Enviary developed highly targeted email campaigns to highlight the brand's quality products and sweepstakes while focusing on overcoming skepticism. These campaigns emphasized the legitimacy of the giveaway and showcased the premium nature of the products. To drive urgency and boost conversions, we incorporated time-sensitive promotions and limited-time offers, encouraging customers to act quickly while reinforcing the excitement and value of the brand’s offerings..
Results: In a matter of months, Synister Speed saw significant performance lifts across the board:
- Email-driven revenue increased by 26 percent
- Email engagement improved by 35 percent due to personalization and audience targeting
